Working Mom

Working Mom
Each new day it's a different tale.
I work and go to college everyday without any fail.
I have two kids that I adore.
Aside from working, I also do all the cleaning chores.
My husband helps me as much as he can.
I have his support, he's a wonderful man.
At times in my life I'm very stressed.
But over all, I feel very blessed.
I'll be teaching soon, that what I aspire
Hopefully someday I'll be admire.
silent and still
like a lamp in the daylight
waiting to serve your purpose

illumination awaits you

Recuerdo

Recuerdo

Recuerdo cuando supe de ti,
Que alegría había en mi ser.
Anhelaba tanto escuchar,
Tu corazoncito palpitar.

Recuerdo cuando te sentí,
No habrá otro momento.
Te movías y mi aliento se agotaba,
Mas mi amor por ti aumentaba.

Recuerdo cuando te conocí,
Fue algo tan inolvidable.
Al fin pude abrazar y contemplar,
El tesoro que Dios me quiso regalar.

Nathaniel Elijah

Destiny's child, oh, how you make me smile
Tender love, sent from up above
God's gift, a blessing in disguise
Make no mistakes, you were pre destined to live
You're here for a purpose and that you shall fulfill
As you grow you will know
and understand what God has planned
Follow your heart
Follow your dreams
praising God in everything

Rain

Rain, Rain, we need you

We are so thirsty and so dry

the sound of thunder and the

sky turning dark blue

Rain drops falling from the sky

Rain, Rain, we need you

Fiance

I see my fiance and I begin to think.
There are so many people that are divorced
There are so many people that have cheated on one another.
-
I wonder if he has doubts.
I wonder if he really loves me.
I wonder if we will last together 'till death do us part.
-
Will he be truthful?
Will he be honest?
Will I be his one and only?
-
I wonder.

The Road to.........?

I am tired
Never ending routine
My brain is out of gas
Body just going threw the motions
I tell myself I can do it!

I drive over an hour
With only my thoughts for company
I walk over compressed pebbles and concrete
Down the road to higher learning
I tell myself
The reward will be grand
I walk to the brown bricks
Through the doors
And up the steps
I walk threw a corridor
Long, narrow, and cold
I sit in chair thats too small
no space
I sit
I am tired

Alas!
years pass
I can see the light
The reward will be grand
I can see the light
Its all been worth it
I am rejuvenated!
